Dear Friends
I am excited to share with you my latest project which comes from the depths
of my heart.
For a few months now we've been working on documentary about 9/11. My 9/11.
I've set out to find meaning, peace and healing by returning to Ground Zero.
I've faced my fears and looked in the shadows I'd been ignoring for 9 years.
It has been a powerful psychological and spiritual journey.
I've reunited with the people closest to me during those experiences,
including interviews with Mayor Giuliani and Cardinal Egan.
I've chosen to document my journey in the hope that others will be inspired
to embrace their own healing or to reach out to those in their community who
have not yet found freedom from 2001.
My journey continues and we haven't yet collected all the material for our
documentary. But, we have decided to launch the footage we have collected so
far as a web-TV series ahead of the 9th anniversary of 9/11. We done this
because we truly believe the scenes we've captured should be in the public
domain making a difference, right now!
Posting the scenes online also allows for you to debate and share with each
other. This story begins with me, but we all have our own 9/11 stories and
experiences, and we still need healing as a community.
The project is called Find 9/12.
9/12 refers to that extraordinary period that followed the attacks in which
we all cared for one another with a compassion and unity that the world had
never experienced before. We forgot our petty differences and reached out to
each other as a human family.
The city of New York got behind us first responders down at Ground Zero. And
the whole nation got behind the city. And the whole world got behind the
nation. For a very brief moment the world was a very, very special place. We
want to find that spirit again. We're calling it the September 12 Effect or
9/12 for short.
This project is all about working together to rediscover it. To Find 9/12.
As friends I have a few things I'd like you to do to support our vision.
